This bill specifies that no person, as a condition or continuation of employment, be required to become or refrain from becoming a member of a labor organization. The bill also states no person shall be required to pay dues, fees, assessments, or other charges to a labor organization.

The Missouri Alliance for Freedom supports this bill because it prohibits workers from being forced to join a union. This supports our mission of individual liberty by allowing workers a choice.

This bill died in the House when House leaders were unable to find the 82 votes constitutionally required for the bill to go to the Senate.
